We invite you to volunteer with us at the Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC) Food Pantry, where we will sort donations, repack items, and perform other organizational tasks.

DMARC partners with several organizations across the Des Moines metro to provide food free of charge. It operates a centralized warehouse to receive food from donors and wholesalers and send it to its partner pantries. With a legacy spanning back to 1976, DMARC effectively supplies 15 local pantries, creating a lifeline for those facing food insecurity.

Once you register, look for an email with a waiver that you’ll need to complete before volunteering. Remember to wear shoes that cover your toes and heels. Feel free to bring a friend!
