Ryan is a dedicated professional specializing in creating and updating retirement plans within the Merkle Retirement Planning team. As a Financial Planning Paraplanner, he has been instrumental in streamlining processes and working alongside our Retirement Planners to ensure they are well-informed and equipped to handle any complex situations they encounter. Acting as the primary point of contact, Ryan fields questions and navigates tricky scenarios, thereby smoothing out the planning process for all involved.
His passion for retirement planning is evident in his commitment to seeing how all the different pieces of a retirement plan fit together seamlessly. The gratification Ryan finds in his role stems from being an integral part of a team that meticulously fits those pieces together, showcasing the synergy within the team and the satisfaction of helping the individuals and families we serve, live out their retirement dreams.
Ryan’s journey in the financial sector is supported by a solid academic foundation; he is a proud graduate of the University of Iowa, where he majored in Finance with a focus on Wealth Management and Corporate Finance. Beyond his academic credentials, Ryan has also passed the Series 65 securities exam and has obtained his life, health, and accident Iowa insurance licenses.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Ryan has a vibrant personal life. He is a passionate Dallas Cowboys fan, enthusiastically awaiting the start of each football season. As an avid scuba diver, Ryan finds tranquility and adventure beneath the waves, with Cozumel and St. Croix being among his favorite diving destinations. Ryan shares his life with a white German Shepherd named Ghost, affectionately named after the Game of Thrones character, highlighting his fondness for the series.
