Sheila is often one of the first people you see when you enter Merkle Retirement Planning. She has an infectious enthusiasm and an upbeat approach to everything she does! As a Client Experience Specialist, Sheila ensures an exceptional experience – from preparing meeting spaces to scheduling visits and coordinating events and mailings – she’s organized and energized.
Sheila joined the Merkle Retirement Planning team in September of 2023. Before that, she spent almost 20 years working for the Diocese of Des Moines at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Sheila enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and watching sports. She roots for the Iowa State Cyclones, the Chicago Bears, and the Chicago Cubs.
She has been married to her husband, Tom, for 31 years. They have three adult children: Tyler, Emma, and Maura. Her pride and joy is her grandson, Oliver. Sheila grew up in Algona and is the youngest of 12.
