Join us for our October Lifestyle Event as we give back by packaging meals during the 19th Annual Meals from the Heartland Hunger Fight!

Choose one of two volunteer sessions, held on two different days: Tuesday, October 6th, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM(opens in new tab) or Wednesday, October 7th, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Both sessions will take place at the Patty Cownie Packaging Center, located at 357 Lincoln Street in West Des Moines.

Together, we’ll package meals to help fight hunger locally and around the world. This year’s Hunger Fight aims to bring together more than 4,000 volunteers to package 1.75 million meals.

Organizers recommend wearing casual, comfortable clothing and shoes. Please leave backpacks, jewelry, and beverages in your car. Small lockers will be available for purses and wallets. Gloves and hairnets will be provided and worn while packaging meals.
