Retirement Tax Strategist
Adam Bernstorf is our in-house Retirement Tax Strategist, providing tax preparation and filing services to individuals and families. Working in a collaborative capacity alongside the Retirement Planners at Merkle Retirement Planning to support thoughtful, tax-aware planning as part of an overall retirement strategy. He provides tax-focused insight that supports planning discussions within the RetireSecure Roadmap, the customized retirement planning framework used to help families and individuals build comprehensive retirement plans.
Adam brings six seasons of tax preparation experience from two Iowa-based CPA practices, along with three years of experience as an accountant for a property management company. His hands-on background and ability to clearly explain complex tax concepts make him a valuable resource for both the families and individuals we serve and the Merkle Retirement Planning team.
Born in Phoenix and raised in Iowa, Adam enjoys life with his wife, Corinne, and their daughter, Alice. He is a graduate of Buena Vista University with degrees in accounting and sports management and has been a licensed CPA since 2018. In his free time, Adam enjoys Arizona Diamondbacks baseball, fantasy sports, golfing, watching movies, and improving his lawn care skills.
