Clint Huntrods, PhD, Certified Financial Fiduciary®, is a dedicated retirement planner who empowers families and individuals to approach retirement with confidence and clarity. With a PhD in Educational Policy and Leadership from the University of Iowa, Clint leverages his background as a former college professor to educate and guide clients through the complexities of retirement planning.

As a Certified Financial Fiduciary®, and holding Iowa life, health, and accident insurance licenses as well as the Series 65 Investment Adviser Representative qualification, Clint remains committed to staying informed in the ever-evolving retirement landscape. He contributes educational content to the TV show Retiring Today with Loren Merkle, facilitates educational workshops, and participates in the firm’s podcast—where he offers insights for pre-retirees.

Clint develops personalized RetireSecure Roadmaps—comprehensive strategies that guide clients through critical retirement decisions, including investment strategies, risk management, tax-efficient withdrawals, and legacy planning. His approach is built on trust, education, and deep relationships, ensuring clients’ financial plans align with their unique retirement goals.

Outside the office, Clint enjoys quality time with his wife, Kahri, attending country music concerts, and creating cherished memories with their children—Nash, Eli, and Jovi—through fishing, biking, boating, and family adventures.

Certified Financial Fiduciary®

This designation is reserved for those professionals who have successfully completed a rigorous certification and training process established by NACertified Financial Fiduciary and The American Financial Education Alliance (AFEA) which include:

Exemplified the highest standards of morals, ethics, and fiduciary standards of service
Passed a certification exam with a score of 75% or better
Passed full background check and in good standing with regulatory license requirements
Business office was reviewed for best practices and compliance
Completed and submitted the signed Certified Financial Fiduciary Application for
Agreed to the National Association Certified Financial Fiduciary terms of awarding and maintaining certification
Agreed to abide by and uphold the Certified Financial Fiduciary Code of Conduct

Series 65

The Series 65 license is required for individuals providing financial advice on a non-commission basis. Financial planners, advisors, stockbrokers, and other registered representatives that provide investment advice for an hourly fee fall into this category. The exam is a 180-minute test covering the rules and regulations for registered investment advisors and various investment vehicles and disciplines, economics, ethics, and analysis.
