Health Care Specialist
Melissa serves as a dedicated resource for the families and individuals we serve as they navigate important health care decisions in retirement. She helps coordinate and implement health care-related recommendations, assists with Medicare, health insurance, and long-term care applications, and works closely with insurance carriers and government agencies to help ensure a smooth process from start to finish. Melissa also provides support during enrollment periods and life transitions, helping individuals feel informed and confident as they make important health care decisions.
Melissa brings almost 30 years of health care industry experience to her role, including 17 years with a leading health insurance company, along with several years specializing in Medicare planning and guidance. She holds life and health insurance licenses and is an AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders) Certified Professional Outpatient Coder.
Born in Stuttgart, Germany, while her father was serving in the military, Melissa spent her childhood in Hays, Kansas. She and her husband, Dave, live in Norwalk and are proud parents of four adult children. Melissa also shares a special bond with her identical twin sister, Angela, who is often mistaken for her. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing with a good book, and watching NFL football.
