Senior Director of Creative
Richelle is a creative yet detail-oriented, driven yet compassionate leader who truly embraces the art of elevating those around her. As Senior Director of Creative, she leads the teams that tell the story of who we are, what we do, and why we do it — helping families and individuals live out their retirement visions.
In her role, Richelle oversees Retiring Today with Loren Merkle, as well as our YouTube channel and podcast. She also coordinates both online and in-person Journey to Retirement Workshops. In addition, she leads the Client Engagement Team, which focuses on answering questions and helping families and individuals take the first step on their retirement journey.
With more than 15 years of experience in production, Richelle brought a wide range of creative expertise to Merkle Retirement Planning, having worked on projects ranging from TV commercials to website design. Her exceptional work on a Roger Maris special aired on ESPN and earned numerous accolades.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Richelle is actively involved in her community. She has shared her marketing insight with the West Des Moines Chamber’s Young Professionals group as Marketing Chair and serves on the Communications Committee for the Iowa District West of The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod.
Richelle was selected from thousands of applicants to lend her decorating talents at the White House for Christmas on two occasions, serving during both the Obama and Trump administrations. She was also chosen as a volunteer for the iconic White House Easter Egg Roll in 2024.
She loves the opportunity to explore and has embarked on road trips to Montana, Wyoming, and the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, adding thousands of miles to her car in pursuit of adventure.
